Learning Recovery Driven by Student Projects

Malaysian schools saw 42 weeks of closures due to the pandemic — among the longest in the world (UNESCO Global Monitoring of School Closure). This means that students’ effective learning have been interrupted for over half a year.

This year, YEC invites secondary school students all across Malaysia to be part of the learning recovery journey. We asked: What are some creative and innovative ways to accelerate learning recovery in your school and community? And our Young Educators have answered!

This year, 18 teams of Young Educators have crafted, pitched, and piloted their very own learning recovery project while being guided by professional mentors and experienced facilitators. The winning teams stand a chance to win bursaries worth up to RM48,000 from Sunway College and up to RM2,000 in cash prizes!
