Zhi En is the Vice President for the school band, Vice secretary for PRS, Vice Secretary for Kelab Seni Kreatif, Inovasi dan Rekacipta, and also a part of the school’s editorial board.
I got the opportunity to participate in EMPOWERAKAN last year, and it has become one of the core experiences that shaped me into the person I am today.
To be able to join the bootcamp, which allowed me to participate in an environment that encourages and supports everyone, was truly amazing. I loved being surrounded by people who all had the common goal of improving themselves.
It’s truly admirable how the facilitators managed to curate a safe environment that's calm and fun for everyone to interact and learn together!
Especially after the KitaConnect roundtable discussion, my public speaking skills improved a lot, which helped me convey my ideas clearly and effectively. Other than that, by learning and observing the inspiring people (both facilitators and participants) I’ve met during all the Project ID events I’ve attended, I’ve also developed my leadership skills, which have really helped in my school activities. I’ve learnt to have more patience and understanding for my members, while still being assertive and confident.

Atikah was the president of her school’s Kadet Polis club and led her team to win second place in a marching competition. She is also the vice chairman of the librarian body in her school. She also won third place in a STEM PBL competition.

“My most memorable experience in PID was moderating during one of the @KitaConnect Workshop. Combining my passion for debate and educating others, I felt as if I was at the peak of my abilities as I was able to introduce my peers to the exhilarating mental sport that is debate.”

Bhagya organizes and facilitates a district-level leadership camp. Her poem was published in the school magazine, and she is the vice president of her school's student leaders board. She is also the secretary of her district's student leaders board. She won gold in an international poetry recital competition and currently planning on starting a social issue-focused initiative.

Maathi is the captain of her school's debate team. She won an innovation grant from Yayasan Sime Darby to develop a prototype to help nurses with managing the emergency trolley for community adoption.
