Who We Are
We are a group of passionate education advocates (and teachers) who aspire to change the life trajectory of students in our community.
We believe that dreams are a powerful driving force; and with targeted intervention, achieving dreams becomes a real possibility.
Kelvin taught Form 1 Geography in SMK Pendamaran Jaya, Klang as a Teach for Malaysia Fellow. Due to his passion for nation building and community development, Kelvin currently leads the Project ID team whilst working as a management consultant with PwC South East Asian Consulting.
Chee Hoo began his teaching career in SMK Pendamaran Jaya, Klang as a Teach For Malaysia Fellow. Driven by his desire to one day become a transformational Principal for his alma mater, he co-designs the Project ID programmes and coordinates Launch Camp activities.
Kamil began his career teaching Geography in SMK Pendamaran Jaya, Klang as a Teach For Malaysia Fellow. Formerly a junior state athlete, he coaches the SMK Pendamaran Jaya football team to win district Championship titles. In Project ID he acts as school coordinator and leads Open Day activities.
Elizabeth taught Form 1 and Form 2 English in SMK Pendamaran Jaya, Klang as a Teach For Malaysia Fellow. She is currently pursuing her passion for social work through her role as Assistant Manager in CIMB Foundation and supports the Project ID programme team in overall planning and execution.
Gabriel taught English in SMK Pendamaran Jaya as a Teach For Malaysia Fellow and is currently teaching in SMK Sungai Besar, Sabak Bernam. With a desire to continue the impact he began with Project ID, Gabriel develops the modules and coordinates Uni Visit activities for Project ID.
Data & Impact
Melissa taught Form 1, Form 3 and Form 4 English in SMK Jelai Felda as a Teach For Malaysia Fellow. She is currently a HR consultant in the healthcare industry and leads the Project ID Data & Impact team to co-create impact measurement tools and capture student data to articulate Project ID’s impact.
Data & Impact
Kevin began his career as an engineer in the manufacturing industry. The skills and opportunity gap he saw led him to believe education is the solution, and he now works with the Talent Acquisition team at Teach For Malaysia. Kevin supports Project ID Data & Impact team to measure & articulate the programme's impact on students.
Media & Comms
Dinesh taught Form1, Form 4 and Form 5 Science as well as Form 5 Biology in SMK Bakong, Sarawak as a Teach For Malaysia fellow. A firm believer in the power of education to empower and inspire change, Dinesh joined Project ID to continue working with students and leads Media and Comms.
Ara taught English and History in SMK Taman Desa Jaya, Johor Bahru as a Teach For Malaysia Fellow. Currently an Advisory Associate at Ernst and Young, Ara pursues his passion for student empowerment and leadership through delivering Project ID modules.
Pui Ting taught Form 1 and 2 history and moral as a Teach For Malaysia fellow in SMK Merbau, Miri. Currently, she is working as a teacher in Dignity for Children Foundation. In Project ID, she develops modules and coordinates activities to involve students in their community problems.
